It's occurs "Exception from HRESULT: 0x80010105" in EAS activity

The following error occurs when read Excel in EAS activity.

“Excel application scope : The server threw an exception. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80010105 (RPC_E_SERVERFAULT))”

If there are more than two as follows method in a workbook, this error has occored.
Target method : =DATESTRING(NOW())
This is Uipath bug?

Our version is below.
UiPath:18.4.3
ExcelActivity:2.5.3

Please help us for resolve.

The problem is very similar to:

ExcelApplicationScope "random" HRESULT's

Scenario: In a tight loop, ExcelApplicationScope can “randomly” (~once every couple of thousand iterations, depending on circumstances) produce a wide array of different HRESULT ComExceptions due to hooking up to a running Excel process in incompatible state. Thanks for the quick reply.

But this issue can reproduce when you run following process.It’s not random.

1. Create Excel file
2. Input “=DATESTRING(NOW())” to two cell(A1 and B1).
3. Use UIPath and command “ExcelApplicationScope” to open Excel file.
4. Error will occur absolutely.

Any chance you could attached a zip of the sample project which includes the sample Excel file?

I am new with UiPath and I am also have the same issues above. Is there a solution already with this problem?

My current work around is to have my Excel opened during execution.

I am still using Excel 2013, could this be the root cause of this problem?

Could you see if the Foxit plugin is maybe an issue here as per this post?

Yes, on the different accounts. What another user here recounted was that he had seen the same thing, or something very similar, when he had briefly played with the tool a few months ago, which had been solved by removing a FoxIt plugin from Excel. I did the same, and it’s been running great ever since (fingers crossed). Why this was not a problem prior to about Wednesday, but was after, is a mystery for the ages. ddk
