Is it possible to assign a variable to Getpassword Activity and then assign that variable to a login prompt? I can’t seem to to find the option in properties.

Hi guys,
I tried using the Get Password activity found under System>Environment.
The activity claims to encrypt the password and output the encrypted password string. But what my workflow is outputting is the same password.
How to encrypt the password using Get Password activity only?
[GetPassword1]
[GetPassword2]
