Get Password Activity

Hi guys,
I tried using the Get Password activity found under System>Environment.

The activity claims to encrypt the password and output the encrypted password string. But what my workflow is outputting is the same password.

How to encrypt the password using Get Password activity only?

The tooltip on getpassword states that it encrypts it and associates it to the current user. Perhaps the reason you can see it is that it’s not designed to be hidden from you.

From my research the Get Secure Credentials is the more relevant activity. Have you tried this?

Yes cotly, I think you are correct. If this is the case, how do I open up the workflow and associate it to some other user. Does this mean, I have to logon to Windows as a different user or logon to UiPath as a different user?

I have tried Get Secure Credentials activity, but I was going through all the activities in UiPath and I was stuck in this so thought of asking.

I am not 100% sure if that’s the case or not, but it would appear so.
