Install UiPath Enterprise version fails with message Machine Level installs are not permitted.

Issue Description: The Operating System is Windows10. UiPath Studio 21.10.8 has been installed under C:\Users{username}\AppData\Local\Programs\UiPath\Studio a year ago, and now how to reinstall it under C:\Program Files?
Logged in with Administrator Account and took below steps to get following error message:

  1. Uninstall Studio from Apps & Features menu
  2. Restart the computer,
  3. Execute the UiPathStudio.msi

Error Message:

"Machine level installs are not permitted while at least one user-scoped installation exists.(user : ComputerName/Administrator)"

Resolution:

  1. Delete all the folders UiPath from below path > Restart the machine > Try install again
  • %programdata%
  • %localappdata%
  • %appdata%
  1. Try to install with CMD. Refer to the Command Line Parameters Examples
  2. In case none of the steps above are helpful, use the Window Compatibility trouble-shooter tool. This is a built-in tool that could automatically fix any compatibility problems
  3. If the trouble-shooter can not fix the problem, manually make an app run in compatibility mode, which will run the app using the settings from an earlier version of Windows
  4. Run the Studio installation file through "Run Compatibility Troubleshooter"

  1. Select and hold (or right-click) it
  2. Then select Open file location
  3. Select and hold (or right-click) the program file
  4. Select Properties, and then select the Compatibility tab
  5. Select Run compatibility troubleshooter.
