Sequence is used for linear process. In sequence all activities run in sequence in which sequence they are arranged. Sequence does not support multi branching unlike the flowchart. We can create the sequence when we have linear flow and we to use that flow multiple times then we can can create the sequence and reuse it.

Flowchart is used for large and small projects and supports the multi branching and decision activities. In flowchart flow could run reverse also.

Note: We can create the flowcharts under the sequence and vice versa.
