Dear UiPath Marketplace Publishers,
We hope this message finds you well. As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the user experience and ensure compatibility, we have an important announcement regarding Legacy activities on UiPath Marketplace.
Background: As we transition to Windows-compatible listings and the latest Studio versions that support .NET 6 compatible activities, it is crucial to maintain consistency and alignment. Legacy activities may not fully meet these requirements, which could impact user experience and compatibility.
Action Required: We kindly request that all publishers with Legacy activities migrate them to the latest framework by September 30th, 2024. This migration will ensure that your activities remain compatible with the evolving UiPath ecosystem.
Why Migrate?
- User Base: Our user base is growing, and many users are adopting the latest UiPath Studio versions.
- Exceptional Experience: By updating your activities, you provide an exceptional experience for the users that are interested in utilizing the automations that you developed.
- Windows Compatibility: All listings must be Windows compatible and align with the .NET 6 Framework.
How to?
- Migrate your activities to Windows
Please have a look at the following 2 cases and depending upon whichever case your activity fits into, please follow the following steps to successfully migrate your activity:- Case-1: If your Activity was created using Visual Studio, please refer to this link for migration.
- Case-2: If your Activity was created using the Windows-Legacy version of UiPath Studio, please convert it to Windows using Studio’s built-in conversion tool. You can right-click the project node in the Project panel in UiPath Studio and then select Convert to Windows. More details are provided here.
- Make sure your activities are compatible with the latest version of UiPath Studio and mention the updated compatibility on the listing page.
- Make sure that the added documentation is up-to-date.
- Metadata changes to the NuGet can be performed using NuGet Package Explorer.
Once done, please resubmit the updated NuGet and content for review on Marketplace.
Note: Failure to migrate may result in the archival of Legacy activities starting October 2024.
We value your contributions to UiPath Marketplace and appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
Best Regards,
UiPath Marketplace Team
