Been using the Office 365 activities v2.0.1 for a couple weeks just to get emails in a process. Today I tried to use the Move Mail activity and it kept erroring. Turns out that v1.14.1 and higher of the Office 365 activities package requires a higher version of Studio than I’m using. So why did my Studio let me install it? It shouldn’t.
If a package version requires a certain/higher version of Studio, we shouldn't be able to install it
Hi @postwick Studio will let you install because some of the activity in that package will work with Lower Version of studio, so if you want to use the complete activity it is recomended to upgrade the studio.
Note of the Package.
IMPORTANT: This package version requires Studio 21.10 or higher. On lower versions some functionality may be missing, or unexpected behaviours may occur.
But it doesn’t give you any such warning when you try to install, nor is there information about which activities. It shouldn’t let you install a package that isn’t fully compatible with your version of Studio. That’s very poor practice.
Which is incorrect. We are on 2021.10.4 and it doesn’t work.
I think the higher priority should be that UiPath actually correct their descriptions on most of their packages. UiPath.System.Activities still says it requires Studio version 2018 or higher.
Fairly confident that really won’t be the case anymore… Pauls point is solid.
There is nothing anywhere in the notes on this one either indicating a limitation
There is a known issue on Move Mail, but I’m sure Paul ruled that out if he seems confident his is a studio issue.
