Need suggestions on how to setup non-production Orchestrator on Test Server for Test processes.
What criteria or steps should we follow?
What needs to be focused while creating Test ORchestartor?
Thank you

Hi @PALKUMARI_PATEL,
My suggestion is to have the same PROD installation. Because RPA is a technology that does not tolerate the differences that will occur between the test and the prod. You can only keep your hardware requirements usage to a minimum.

Thanks for sharing .
Do I need to change or update anything ? Or just the URL I will get is the only different than PROD? Everything else will be same.
I will install here non-Production Orchestrator as per our license.
You can make sure that the server and database environments are not TEST. To avoid the hassle of moving it to the PROD side later.
i don’t understand can you explain ?
I think we will connect to same database as PROD. but server environment means?
It can be found in different IP blocks as live and test in environments where servers are located. If you have a system infrastructure team, you can ask them.
OK. Thanks IF I will have any question, will ask you.
One question : My team got access on test server. So, I am trying to install studio and test orchestrator there and got error of TL/SSL certificate. Also can you let me know the flow of new robot creation and connect it to orchestrator ?
Can you help me to understand below:
We have test orchestrator license and my team (5 members) got access for Test RPA Server.
Let’s say I want to have each of them’s machine on Orchestrator and if they want to connect through Robot , Do i need seperate robot for them ? Or just one robot and they can connect with just different machine key ?
Each user will have different Machine key’s on test server ?
Thank you in advanced.
Hi @PALKUMARI_PATEL,
I am attaching link about uipath licensing.
Each robot connects to an agent, that is, a user. A certain number of licenses (which you requested) are added to the single license key you receive in the Orchestrator environment.
You can see your total license type and count by going to Orchestrator > Tenant > License area.
If you request a multi-user license, fewer licenses can be obtained if you are not working on 5 at the same time. However, if all of you are going to work at the same time, you need to have 5 development licenses.
Sorry i missed your message, do you still have the problem with this?

We have 5 Attended and 5 unattended licenses. We have test license also but I didn’t see it in orchestrator.
Do we have to install somewhere when we use Test license?
We are currently using 2 licenses ( 1 Robot is used for 2 VM’s where machine key is different)
Another 1 is I am using it in my local machine.
Can we use Attended license for unattended bot? If yes, how?
So, for test let’s say 2 users using the Test server at a same time with their own windows login, we will need 2 license ?
If I want to assign just 1 license on test server and rest of the people can use alternate day same license , is that possible? how?
Hi @PALKUMARI_PATEL,
This is valid in the licensing model from the orchestrator. Not necessarily.
There is not much difference between a test license and a regular license, they are only temporary.
No, you cannot use it. Yes, two licenses will be required if two users will be working at the same time.
In cases where we think you are connected to the orchestra and you have a multi-user license, when a person leaves the license, the other user can take it.
Ask your uipath or consulting partner for support on these and similar issues.
Thank you for the detail explaination.
