How to set up email alerts for orchestrator

I saw this guide on how to set up email alerts for orchestrator but have a few questions

  1. must i have a gmail account to do this? are there any other alternative smtp settings that work?
  2. how do i set up orchestrator to use noreply@uipath.com (meaning i dont use my own smtp server), is it possible?

Do you plan to use On-premise Orchestrator or Cloud Orchestrator in AutomationCloud?

If you use CloudOrchestrator, SMTP is ready to use.

Settings in the above page is just an example. We can use any SMTP server if proper settings.( please note that it depends on each SMTP server)

Setting of Default From Address will work.

you mean if we dont input anything it will use the default noreply@uipath.com?does that work using onpremise?

Hi,

No. we need to set explicitly DefaultFromAddress. And, it’s not very good to use domain of another’s organiazation, in general.
