How to select a specific column in excel based on the excel file name

Hello All,

I am new to UiPath. I am trying to extract data from unstructured excel file (the data in excel will be shifted every time the file is created). The only unique condition which i can use is the file name (which contains the month). I have an requirement to extract the data for that month from excel based on the file name.

In file name contains date like "05/05/2020.xlsx. The data in excel contains “May-20”. Is there a way i can achieve this in UiPath? After identifying the data i need to create a new excel file for May-20.

Please advise.
Roni.

Please share screenshot of input file and also what you want?

Hi Shubham,

I am trying to upload the file but getting error new users can not upload the file.

File Name will be like - Statement20200526.xlsx

Hi @roni_dutt

It is much hard to work ok such unstructured excel then also i tried but in May column the actual values are way different and many more.

As per logic i did everything but it is picking the data automatically half from another column and half from the column which it is working on. You may have a look on the workflow once.

Below is the workflow files.

I dont think it will completely meet your requirements. But if it is then definetly mark it as solution and like it.
