How to change Robot Units (RU) consumed by Cloud Robot VM? There are 'N' VM Pools provisioned, each using X RUs per month. Can the Robot Units consumed by the existing VM pools be modified/reduced and can the freed RUs used to create another VM pool?
Issue Description:
There are ‘N’ VM Pools provisioned, each using X Robot Units per month. How can another VM Pool be provisioned without deleting the existing Pools?
Resolution:
Robot Units (RU) are consumed by Cloud Robot VMs based on the size selected while creating the Cloud Robot VM. Even though the User Interface allows the user to change the size of the Cloud Robot VM after creation, it does not have any impact.
Users can log into the VM manually and validate that the actual RAM and disk size would not change even after changing it from Orchestrator. Hence, it is impossible to change the size of an existing cloud robot VM; thus, Robot Units allocated to the VM cannot be changed once the VM is created.
In case the Robot Units allocated to the VM needs to be released, the Cloud Robot VM needs to be deleted and a new VM needs to be created with a smaller size.
