How do i check if mail body contains a Password and extract from email body?

  1. I was trying to for each mail check if there is regular expression in mailbody then I want to if there is this regular expression in mail body then I want to save the file path of attachment in that email and the password to an excel (Password and path.xlsx)

  2. I was wondering also if I can open or unprotect the password protected excel files that I saved into excel (Password and path.xlsx) and process the files inside.

Hi @Simple1,

  1. If password is written in email as a plain text there will be no problems to take it with use of regex as you said and write to excel table. Anyway please know that this is huge security gap and completely not a best practice.
  2. It is possible. Just use Excel Application Scope activity where you can define these in parameters:
