How Can I get Outlook emails using IMAP?

Hi Everyone,

I have tried to get Outlook emails using IMAP and getting below error. Can someone please help on this.

"Source: Get IMAP Mail Messages

Message: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond
Exception Type: System.Net.Sockets.SocketException

RemoteException wrapping System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond "

are you sure your email account is set to have IMAP enabled?

Account has IMAP enabled. Do we need to install outlook in the machine for this?

If you want to get outlook mail you can use get outlook mail activity

Or else if your using Gmail then you can use IMAP

Hi Aman,

But the requirement is to get mail from back end from outlook email account but outlook has not been installed on VM. So is it something doable?

Yes !!! You have to install…

After that you can use get outlook messages activity to retrieve emails from outlook.

There is some activities for outlook only to get and send emails ( if outlook is installed)
Or else if you want with IMAP you have configure with port Numbes and all

Everything is configured only. I have given server address: “outlook.office365.com”, Port: 993 and credentials. But still getting same error.
