After I hit run, excel opens then it closes. How do I make it stay open so that I can see the report?
Are you using excel application scope? if yes, select Visible property of it.

In StudioX:
- If the Excel file is open when the process starts, it will be kept open at the end of the execution.
- If do not want to open the Excel file manually prior to execution, you can open the Excel file using the “Use Application” card. Set Options > Close to “Never” in the Properties Panel, as bellow:
