Excel Addi-in error

Hi, hoping someone can help - i receive the following when trying to install the Excel Add-in in StudioX community 2021.4.0. I have Office 2013 with all updates

Setup Extensions X
Unable to cast COM object of type ‘Microsoft.Officeinterop.Excel.ApplicationClass’ to interface type ‘Microsoft.Officeinterop.Excel._Application’. This operation failed because the Querylnterface call on the COM component for the interface with 11D1000208D5-0000-0000- C000-000000000046}’ failed due to the following error: Library not registered. (Exception from HRESULT: Ox8002801D (TYPE_E_LIBNOTREGISTERED)).

On tools tab you have the office repair tool. Can you run that and after taht try again?

To better identify the Repair Tool For Microsoft Office:

It might be a bit complicated for us to debug this based on the screen shot alone :frowning: Most helpful would be if you could provide us with the logs (%localappdata%/UiPath/Logs) and also please do consider that most of us are proficient in English :frowning:

Facing the same issue with Excel 2013 and UiPath 2022.4.1.

Tried reinstalling the MS Office and ‘Repair Tool for Microsoft Office’ in UiPath Studio.

Can you post some logs / print screens ?

Got the below error,

RemoteException wrapping UiPath.Excel.ExcelException: Error opening workbook. If Excel is installed, run the ‘Repair Tool for Microsoft Office Interop’ from the Tools tab on the Home screen. —> RemoteException wrapping System.InvalidCastException: Unable to cast COM object of type ‘Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.ApplicationClass’ to interface type ‘Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel._Application’. Lot of trail and error, but in the end, resolved it through MS office upgrade from 2013 to 2016.
