Hello there,
When I tried to set up Edge Extension. I got below error message.
- Microsoft Edge browser not detected.
- Error #4: Installation failed!
If anyone know what’s wrong. Please advise.
Some questions first
Which studio version are you running?
Community or Enterprise edition?
Do you have the latest Edge browser (Chromium based) installed?
Close current edge browsers.
If using community edition try this from a command prompt: (change USERNAME with your user). Also check your Uipath version. (change app-20.4.2 if necessary)
cd C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\UiPath\app-20.4.2\UiPath
SetupExtensions.exe /Edge
This should install the extension manually. After that open Edge and activate the extension.
Please give it a try and let me know if it solved it for you.

New Edge
I tried the command but it said ”The directory name is invalid”

That’s why i asked which version you had. The command i gave was for the community edition.
For the enterprise version you can find it here:
so it would be like this for you
(below are 2 separate lines):
cd C:\Program Files (x86)\UiPath\Studio\UiPath
SetupExtensions.exe /Edge
It might also have to do with the version you are running. People had issues before 2 months ago:

I have this issue in Studio 2020.4.1. Enterprise version. I am not able to install the edge extension.
I am getting this error " * Error #4: Installation failed!"
I tried through Command prompt and studio tools…
My edge version is 41.16299.1480.0
