Lately every time I use Studio(especially REF), I continually get a message saying:
Error: UiPath.Studio.Contracts.RecoverableException: Studio closed the active project due to a critical internal error. You may retry to open the project.
I’m quite perplexed as it was working just fine doing simple processes, but as soon as I try using REF, I get error after error and have to make sure I save my work every second so I don’t lose anything I do.
What might be the reason for this?
It might be worth noting that I got a pop-up asking me to update my Studio about a week ago, could the new release be the issue?
-It can’t be a storage issue as I have 100GB+ free space on my main C drive
-Does that mean I need to move to an enterprise version instead of the community one to potentially solve the problem?
That error means Studio hit a critical crash, and we’ll need the logs to see what’s happening.
Please do this:
Reproduce the issue in Studio until the error appears.
Right after it happens, open UiPath Diagnostic Tool (from Start Menu).
Run the collection wizard → just click Next, Next, Finish.
It will generate a ZIP with the logs (path shown at the end) – please attach/share it here.
Also, could you let me know the steps that trigger the crash (e.g., creating a new REF project, running Main, editing Config.xlsx, etc.)? That will help us reproduce it on our side.
