Connection wizard is lost on switching between applications on system

Hello, I am new to UiPath studio and my first project involves connecting to database and run some sql scripts.
So the first step is to connect to database. On trying to do the same from the connection wizard, the ‘Choose Data Source’ window is lost when I switch between UiPath Studio and any other application(like notepad to copy the credentials).

I have even tried Alt + tab multiple times to see if the window got minimized but that was of no help. It didn’t even let me close the UiPath Studio so I had to close it forcefully from task manager.

Can someone please suggest what to do in that case?
Is it a know bug or am I missing something, like the window gets minimized somewhere and I can get it back without restarting the UiPath Studio application?

I see that as an issue… It is a bug…

One workaround for you is to open task manager and check you will see that window …if you click it will open and you can configure or close as well

It is indeed an older bug.

Before we get to fix it, the workaround for when this happens is to:

  • minimize everything, for example with a win+d shortcut
  • bring studio back to focus
  • cover studio with another app for a moment (like an empty notepad for example)
  • minimize the extra app

This should bring the hidden window back to focus.
