I am trying to teach UiPath to beginners within the company, but I am having trouble with the environment setup for the Community Edition.
In the environment of the newly installed Community Edition Studio, is it possible to select Excel from a dropdown as shown in the screenshot? I have been looking for settings but can’t find one, and I can only find a way to enter text manually.
The attached screenshot is from the Enterprise environment of Studio 2023.4.14.
I don’t think any special settings are usually needed, but…
For now, I think it would be good to update the UiPath.Excel.Activities package to the latest stable version or the latest stable version of 2.x to see if that improves the situation.
After downgrading the UiPath.Excel.Activities package in the CE environment to version 2.20.3 (the same environment as mine), I was able to see the plus sign in Excel! Thank you for the advice <m(_ _)m>
However, while I was able to use the dropdown selection for [Select Cell] under Excel activities,
when I tried to specify an Excel item on the right side of the assignment activity, the dropdown selection for the plus sign did not appear.
(In my Enterprise environment, the selection is available even in the assignment activity.)
Is there still something missing in the settings?
If you have any other advice, I would greatly appreciate your guidance
This overlaps with the above POST, but it seems there are no particular issues with the Assign activity in my environment (Studio 2026.0.195 STS + Excel Pack 3.5.1). I would appreciate it if you could share more details about your environment.
In this case, in the CE environment,
when you press the plus button on the right side of the assign activity,
only the options appear:
・Open in expression editor
・Use variable
・Clear value
