Hello everyone,
I’m currently working on a project where we are using UiPath, and I need some clarification regarding the licenses and components required for our automation setup. Specifically, I’m hoping to get insights on the following:
-
Orchestrator Requirement: We previously needed Orchestrator for our Unattended Robots to work, and it was included in the Unattended Robot license. Is this still the case in the current pricing structure, or is Orchestrator now a separate purchase?
-
UiPath Assistant: With the newer versions of UiPath products, I’ve seen that UiPath Assistant is used for authentication when working with Attended Robots. Can anyone confirm if Orchestrator is still needed for both Attended and Unattended Robots, despite the UiPath Assistant’s role in newer versions?
-
Licenses Sufficiency: We have licenses for the following:
• RPA Developer
• Unattended Robot
• Attended Robot
• Action Center
Based on these, do you think this setup will be sufficient for both the development and operation of robots? The project is not large in scale, mostly handling internal automation needs. -
On-premise vs Cloud: We are currently considering whether to host everything on-premise or move to a cloud instance. Could someone explain the key differences and advantages between using Orchestrator on-premise vs Cloud?
Any insights would be greatly appreciated. I just want to make sure we have the right components in place to move forward efficiently.
Thank you in advance for your help!
