I just installed UiPathStudioCommunity. By default it opens in StudioX configuration. I can’t switch to Studio because License and profile menu is not available in Settings tab. I tried to reinstall the product. I also created new organization. I even created new account with different email address. Neither of these changed had any effect. Still can’t use the product in Studio mode.
Please help.
Hi,
Can you check the following post?
Regards,
Thank you Yoichi for responding. I checked my license in Admin panel. I do have community license. See screenshot.
I did a little tweaking and explicitly allocated this license to my ID. Unfortunatley, it did not have expected results. Still cant switch to Studio.
Hi,
According to your image, license is not assigned to anyone.
For now, can you try to assign AutomationDeveloper license to your account from the following menu?
Regards,
Switching feature have been removed by UiPath in the latest release
Problem is mainly regarding the allocation of license. It should be developer license
check below details as well
Thank you Yoichi. I do use community edition. I did explicitly allocate the license to myself. See screenshot. Unfortunately, I still did not have effect. Unless there is some latency for the changes to kick in. Any more suggestions?
Thank you Sharaz and Yoich. After allocating the license to me explicitly I am opening UiPath in Studio configuration by default. So why I still can’t switch back and forth on client side I got what I was looking for.
Looks like UiPath keep tightening security. So you configuration is controlled server-side and is driven by license/group memberships granted to a user.
Thanks again.
Hi,
Can you check / share what license is applied at left bottom corner of start page of Studio(X)?
Regards,
As mentioned above - In the latest release - there is switch back to StudioX from studio. Instead, they have incorporated StudioX features within Studio. Example - Notebookfeatures of StudioX. So please don’t expect profile change going forward
Hi @eugenegugel
Try to Create a new tenant in UiPath Orchestrator, assign the appropriate license to it, and ensure your user has the right group memberships and permissions. Then, log in to UiPath Studio with the new tenant to see if you can switch configurations as expected.
If you find this helpful, please feel free to mark it as a solution
hi @eugenegugel ,
Do you happen to recall how the licensing was assigned or any steps when creating the organization that gave you StudioX? Was this an existing organization or a new one?
We’re adding a Citizen Developer license to community organizations to allow accessing StudioX.
Many thanks,
Raluca
