"How to Switch to StudioX Profile in UiPath Community Edition"

Hello,

I’m currently using the UiPath community edition and I’m trying to switch to a StudioX profile. However, I can’t find any options to change the profile in the Home or Settings section.

The details of my issue are as follows:

I’m using the community edition, and my studio version is the latest.
I checked the “Change Profile” option in the Help or Licenses and Profiles section, but I can’t see it.
The UiPath.settings file was also searched in the %localappdata%\UiPath directory but could not be found.
I’d appreciate it if you could guide me through the transition from the community edition to StudioX. Please let me know if you have any workarounds or additional steps.

My license is a community plan

Thank you for your help in advance!

@lovebae811,

If you have a Developer license you won’t be able to use or switch to StudioX as per latest update.

Refer this release note:

:footprints: StudioX capabilities into Studio

You can now create a StudioX Task directly from Studio without having to switch profiles. Simply navigate to the Templates and search for the Task which will enable you to create a StudioX workflow. You can take advantage of Project Notebook and other StudioX capabilities. With this change, you can also consume StudioX templates.

Citizen Developers can continue using StudioX as before, without any changes.

If you want to switch to StudioX, you can change your license from Automation Developer - Named User to Citizen Developer - Named User and restart the Studio. You will get StudioX

How can I convert my license to Citizen Developer - Named User? I am unable to make this change. Could you please guide me through the process?

@lovebae811,

Sorry my bad, Citizen Developer licence isn’t available for Community licence.

You should be using Pro trial for this.
