Cant see all activities on the left. I have tried unfiltering. But I can only see recent and Developer. However they show up when I search on Add Activity.
I just want to see the basics like File/Folder and Excel

You are using Studio X. then files and folders activity I have shared the screenshot above for excel activities you will have UiPath.Excel.Activities package downloaded by default in Studio X.

You will not be able to see all the activities at one glance. If you want particular activity to be visible you need to search for that. The recent activities which you use will be visible in activities panel. For other activities please give a search in the search bar of activities Panel.

Where did you get manage packages option from. By default it will be not present below activities Panel.

I think I have a developer version?
May be this video will give you a understanding on developer version. UiPath academy shows Studio X Community Edition.
