Cannot use Community Edition on this machine after activating a trial or Enterprise license code

Hello, 2 of my users by mistake activate the UiPath Studio using a free TRIAL versión.
Now they try to use the Community versión and get a license error.

“Cannot use Community Edition on this machine after activating a trial or Enterprise license code. Please enter a valid license key.”

Is there any way to solve this problem?
The Device ID’s are:
CkdmnEO0vuMycOI9KPcq
Arlt86ykeOLa5QLyfc6g

You have to raise a support ticket (uipath) to unlock the device id by providing the device details.

Once it is done, then you can install the community edition.

Hope this helps!

I have the same error when trying to activate a CE on a brand new Azure VM.

It says:

Activation failed with error: 0
Error description: Cannot use Community Edition on this machine after activating a trial or Enterprise license code. Please enter a valid license key.
License status: Device ID already activated

Hi,

I am having the same issue with activation. I did the steps suggested in the WORKAROUND solution but I have a problem.

I’ve created a robot on the community orchestator platform.
However, when installing the Community Edition Studio, I cannot find a Robot icon in the system tray in order to connect the studio with a robot. I only see the following window and cannot go further without further activation.

I would appreciate any further advice.
Kind regards
Anna

Hi @Ann

Could you navigate to this path:
%userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

You should have a shortcut to the Robot there:

Alternatively, please check if the files are properly installed over here:
%userprofile%\AppData\Local\UiPath

It should look more or less like this:
