Activities unable to identify UI element on MS Edge after installing extension

Hi
After installing UiPath Browser Automation extension on MS edge,
Activities couldn’t identify UI elements on MS edge browser.
Does anybody know the cause of this problem?
Is it possible that the studio or the extension I’m using is too outdated?

What I did(and still couldn’t solve the problem):
・I’ve tried both Full selector and Partial selector
・I’ve set WaitToReady to Complete
・Restart my laptop

Microsoft Edge Version: 141.0.3537.99 (64bit)
Studio Version: 2022.4.3 Enterprise License
Extension version: 22.10

Thank you in advance

Clarification
ui elements can be selected but UiPath couldn’t identify the elements when run the automation in both debug mode and run from Orchestrator

Hi @sangkajan-alicha

Reason-edge version is newer than the installed UiPath extension, causing compatibility issues.

Try to Update studio and UIAutomation package, reinstall the edge extension from Studio tools, and enable it in Edge extensions. Restart and try pls

If you found helpful please mark as a solution. Thanks
Happy Automation with UiPath

Hi! Thank you for the reply
About updating Studio and UIAutomation package, I will have to consult with my client first.
I’m considering try rolling back microsoft edge to an older version too.
Will let you know if it works.

You can try rolling back edge to a version compatible with your current UiPath setup can temporarily resolve it, but updating Studio and UIAutomation later is the recommended long-term fix for stability.
Happy automation

Try Upgrading dependencies of your project to latest version or the more stable version compatible to your browser

Hi! thank you for your reply
Will upgrading dependencies affect anything in my project?

Try doing small smoke test for 2-3 elementes by creating test.xaml and if its works then upgrade and test your project end to end once. Also before upgrading to latest version, kindly make note of the versions used as of now so that incase if you want to roll back
