AM using UiPath and i have couple of process already running, am the only person using it in my company, soon i will go on leave and we only have one account.
So, i need to know if i go on leave my employees will be able to use my account to maintain the flows running?
Basically, can two employee access my account in the same time to update different flows or the account only allows for 1 session only
Lets assume employee 1 access my account and working on it, if the second employee access will employee access will be revoked?
In general, a second login to the same UiPath account does not automatically log out the first user. However, whether both users can work at the same time depends on your licensing model (Named User, Automation Cloud, Studio, etc.), and sharing a single account is not a supported or recommended practice. Overview - User licensing
If both users are editing different projects, they may be able to work concurrently, but if they use the same Studio license or edit the same project, you can run into licensing restrictions or version conflicts. Automation Cloud - About accounts and groups
The recommended approach is to create separate user accounts and assign the appropriate roles and licenses. This preserves audit logs, avoids licensing issues, and is the supported way to manage access while you’re on leave. Automation Cloud - User license management
Can you confirm the license type you are on? Also, I will advise refraining using single account by more than one person because it will be against the license agreement. Normally you should be adding a separate user id for new users.
you cannot switch license between multiple users(Technically its feasible but there is a limitation on how many times you can switch) , but you cannot for sure have one license for two users
also if you are using community for this work then as per license you should not be sharing
Then ideally for unattended you can use a separate account rather than your account which anyone should be able to access..and for unattended no one needs to login
Sharing a UiPath account is generally not recommended and may violate security and your organization’s licensing or audit requirements. You can unassign the Pro license and assign it to a different user. A Pro license is intended for a single named user, so as per the best practices only 1 person can access for the development purposes.
If your colleagues only need to monitor jobs, queues, or triggers in Orchestrator, consider giving them their own Orchestrator user accounts with the appropriate permissions instead of sharing your account.
