Hello,

I am trying to use the Abbyy Cloud OCR and i follow the steps you described on your site but it’s still not working.

I have entered the:

  • the Application Name
  • the Application password
  • the Server URL

Here is a print screen :

but it throws me this error:
Abby%20OCR%20Error

Can you please give me more details on how to fix this problem.

Hello!

Try to pass the server URL as https://cloud.ocrsdk.com/processTextField

Let me know if worked.

it was working fine for me with these inputs:
Application Name-“******************12”
Application Password-“*************8K0unagDb”
Server URL-“http://cloud.ocrsdk.com”

Thanks a lot, it work. The servers URL was not correct.
Sadly I’ve got worse results than by using Google OCR in uipath, so i will stick to that.

Sadly this activity does not work via “http://cloud.ocrsdk.com” nor the url provided in my abbyy account… Do you know if there is any update on this url setting?

Hi Lucas. I have few doubts regarding OCR integration:

  1. I have scanned pdf’s with multiple pages. Which OCR solution should I go with?

  2. If I am going with ABBY, which product within Abby should I choose?

  3. Or just downloading the Abby-Uipath connector should work?

  4. Can we setup the OCR server on premise? Since the data are confidential we dont want to upload to abby servers. Can we setup on premise?

  5. Does this need separate license for abby and uipath?

I know its too much of questions, this is the only platform I believe and trust. Thanks in advance.
