2025.0.157 update for Community License removed Studio X

My Community License auto updated to Studio version 2025.0.157 and I can no longer switch License Profiles between Studio X and Studio. It now defaults only to Studio, when I only use Studio X. See screenshot below for the missing “License & Profiles” button.

Are you connected to Orchestrator to retrieve a license?
Are you using a Studio standalone license?
If you are clicking on the Reset Settings → Reset → Do you see any changes?

Hi,

Probably it’s due to the following feature. So, it seems we cannot switch to StudioX under AutomationDeveloper license in 25.0.157 at least. Under AutomationExpress license, we can use StudioX as before. (However, it’s bundled in not community but free plan etc.)

Hi @kathleen.bakarich ,

Core StudioX capabilities, including creating a Task, Exception Handling, Excel integration (Project Notebook, Excel resources) are now available in Studio. This should remove the need to switch profiles. For StudioX projects (Tasks, existing projects), the experience should be similar between the two. The difference comes from the additional capabilities available.

StudioX is available under a Citizen Developer license without any changes.

Many thanks,
Raluca
