Hello experts ,
why to buy UiPath studio license as same thing is in community version?
Because, you cannot use Community version for production or real use case or commercial use without Enterprise license. It’s due to license terms and condition.
More in detailed description from LLM is as follow:
While the UiPath Community Edition offers many features similar to the licensed version, there are several compelling reasons to purchase a UiPath Studio license, particularly for enterprise use:
1. Scalability and Advanced Features
- Enterprise-Grade Support: Licensed versions offer access to professional support, ensuring any issues are resolved promptly by UiPath’s technical team.
- Advanced Features: Some features and tools, particularly those required for larger and more complex automation projects, might be restricted or not available in the Community Edition.
2. Compliance and Security
- Data Security: The licensed version often includes enhanced security features that are crucial for enterprise-level data protection.
- Compliance: For organizations that need to adhere to strict regulatory requirements, the licensed version provides the necessary compliance tools.
3. Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Guaranteed Uptime: Enterprise licenses come with SLAs that guarantee certain levels of uptime and performance, which are critical for business operations.
- Priority Support: Access to priority support ensures that any disruptions to automated processes are minimized, maintaining business continuity.
4. Resource Management and Collaboration
- Orchestrator: The licensed version includes full access to UiPath Orchestrator, which is essential for managing and scaling RPA deployments across multiple bots and processes.
- Collaboration Features: Enhanced collaboration features in the licensed version enable multiple developers to work on the same projects efficiently, which is key for large teams.
5. Training and Certification
- Official Training: Enterprises can access official training and certification programs, which ensure that their staff is adequately trained to utilize the platform effectively.
- Dedicated Account Management: Larger organizations benefit from dedicated account managers who can provide personalized assistance and ensure optimal use of the platform.
6. Customization and Integration
- Integration Capabilities: The licensed version often includes more robust integration capabilities with other enterprise software and systems.
- Customization: There are more options for customization and tailoring the platform to meet specific business needs in the licensed version.
7. Performance and Reliability
- Performance Guarantees: The licensed version typically guarantees higher performance and reliability, which is crucial for mission-critical applications.
- Resource Allocation: Enterprises get better resource allocation and management features to ensure their automation processes run smoothly without interruptions.
8. Community vs. Enterprise
- Usage Limits: The Community Edition has limitations on usage, particularly in terms of the number of robots and the size of automation workflows.
- No Commercial Use: The Community Edition is generally intended for individual developers and small-scale projects, not for full-scale enterprise deployments.
In summary, while the Community Edition of UiPath Studio is a powerful tool for learning and small-scale automation projects, the licensed version provides the necessary features, support, and assurances required for enterprise-grade RPA implementations. This includes advanced tools, better security, compliance, scalability, and professional support, making it a worthy investment for businesses looking to fully leverage robotic process automation.

Hie @RobotUi community version is only for Learning Purpose. But when you work for Real time project or for the Business You need the License version .
The main difference between the Community and Enterprise editions of UiPath is the level of support, scalability, and security offered.
The Community Edition is a free version that is mainly aimed at individual developers, small businesses, and educational institutions. It offers all the core features, such as the Studio development environment, the Orchestrator management console, and a range of pre-built automation activities. However, the Community Edition has certain limitations, such as a restricted number of robots, a limited set of connectors, and no dedicated support.
On the other hand, the Enterprise Edition is a paid version that is designed for large organizations with complex automation needs. It offers advanced features such as high availability, load balancing, and disaster recovery, as well as dedicated support and training services. The Enterprise Edition also comes with additional security features such as role-based access control, audit logs, and encryption.
@RobotUi
The decision to buy a UiPath Studio license instead of using the Community Edition depends on several factors related to your organization’s needs, the scale of your automation projects, and the features required. Here’s a comparison to help you decide:
UiPath Studio Community Edition
- Cost: Free.
- Usage Limits: Intended for small-scale, individual, or academic use.
- Support: Community support via forums and limited direct support.
- Features: Most core features available, but with some limitations in terms of scalability and enterprise-level functionalities.
- Orchestration: Limited to UiPath Orchestrator Community, which has restrictions on the number of robots and jobs.
- Compliance: May not meet all enterprise-level compliance and security requirements.
UiPath Studio Enterprise Edition
- Cost: Paid subscription.
- Usage Limits: Designed for large-scale and enterprise use.
- Support: Dedicated technical support, including Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for issue resolution.
- Features: Access to all advanced features, including more extensive integrations, advanced analytics, and enterprise-grade capabilities.
- Orchestration: Full access to UiPath Orchestrator with more control over robot management, scheduling, and monitoring.
- Compliance: Meets stringent enterprise-level compliance and security standards.
- Community is only for learning accordingly to agreement you should not use for commercial
- If you just want to explore then community is enough
- Community does not have unattended …as you cannot install robot in service mode
- Apart from studio ,services like AI center etc needs enterprise license

Cheers
Regarding #3 - community version comes with unattended bot license. Maybe you are not able to install in service mode, but you can still use unattended bot. I have set up auto login on Windows machine, and changed Power Manamagent settings to never go to sleep or lock screen, so I can use my unattended bot freely.
These kind of setup would probably be impossible in enterprise setting as security team would block it, so another reason for paying
Agreed with you…but thats mot possible is what I meant to be truely unattended
But point taken
Cheers
Don’t buy UiPath license, they are just useless. Instead shift to PowerAutomate or Python for RPA works.
They are not yet ready for production level products.
Well, that’s your opinion. I find UiPath much better to work with than Power Automate. Though if I wanted to offer automation services as a freelancer I would surely go with something cheaper or even free. Everything comes with pros and cons - in such scenario I would probably need to create a lot of things myself or adjust available solutions to my needs. UiPath has plenty of useful things outside of just “click here” or “type text into this field”.
@RobotUi ,
Though UiPath products are called Robots one way or another, those who work for UiPath are not robots; they have the same needs as the rest of us - food, shelter, clothes, holidays, raising a family etc.
Hello, finally!, there you are
Choice of the RPA platform is kinda horses for courses!
