Using A remote machine to build a bot

Hi

I am trying to create a robot which will log into a remote machine and carry out a range of activities, at the moment the robot can successfully log into the remote machine however when its there doesn’t seem to want to anything. I have tried opening applications, double clicking on applications, send hot keys but nothing seems to work. I was wondering if you could help?
