Unable to assign Robot to a User in On-Premises Orchestrator

Hi team,

I have been unable to assign a robot to a new user in On-Premises Orchestrator. We’ve 10 licenses and assigned to users. However, not all users are actively using the licenses. My understanding is even though the licenses are fully assigned but not being used by users, we can be able to assign robots to additional users. Please let me know if this understanding is incorrect.

Second - when I was working on the editing of Assign roles - I was unable to edit the email which was missed out when the initial set up was done. Please see the following message for your reference.

Please let me know if you’d need additional information.

Best regards,
Sisay

  1. What issue are you getting when you assign a robot role to user?
  2. Ideally if you dont give email address initially it wpuld have been setup by default as a local user so the email field would have been disabled

Cheers

Hi @Anil_G

Good to hear from you.

I thought I had assigned the user properly - However, whenever the user is trying to connect to studio - orchestrator - it shows there is no robot license. Not sure what was missed out.
" 1. Ideally if you dont give email address initially it would have been setup by default as a local user so the email field would have been disabled" could email not being added be a problem for the license issue? If I have to edit, why does not it allow me to edit in the email portion - if you can look into the email in the screenshot?

Best regards,
Sisay

@Sisay_Dinku

the license in modern folders is assigned at machine level so machine should be given the robot license

and user needs to be given robot or automation developer roles as needed

cheers

@Anil_G - the user account had issues. We fixed that and then followed your steps - The user is able to connect to studio.

Thanks!
