We are pleased to announce the first Automation Business Analyst Certification (UiPath Certified Automation Business Analyst - UiABA ).
We are adding to our collection of certification exams (UiRPA and UiARD) to support individuals on their professional automation journey by establishing a verified credential at the user role level.
The UiABA exam assesses an individual on their knowledge of applying business analysis best practices in the context of automation. This credential enables employers to identify talent capable of bridging the gap between business and technology to deliver measurable results from using automation.
The target audience for this certification is professionals with automation business analyst skills who want to showcase their knowledge and experience implementing end-to-end business process automation using UiPath solutions. More details about the certification can be found in the Exam Description Document, which outlines the exam objectives and provides guidance on how to prepare for the exam.
The UiPath Certified Professional exams are delivered through Pearson VUE in two modalities: online remote proctoring (OnVUE) or in-person at a test center.
It’s nice, but complex certification. For me, appear to be harder than the UiARD certification.
You really need to have hands on experience with the UiPath platform.
Hi! Congratulations on clearing the exam! can your recommend how to prepare for this certification, i plan to do this month. What type of questions do we expect?
Hey congratulation @wasea on clearing the exam. I have heard from many people that exam is very difficult .Hey I will be gratefull if you could share some tips and trick on how to prepare for this exam
I didn’t had any strategy for this exam. Besides my experience with the platform, I simple verified and read what appear in Recommended Training & Preparation + the practice test.
The exam pattern was really good and fulfill most of the things a Business Analyst does on regular basis, I cleared this a couple of days back.
It requires some practical experience and exposure to the BA field as well and the business analyst course available on the UiPath Academy would also help the people in getting the certification.
I have a generic question, Pearson VUE’s 50% discount on examination fees for April 2023 have any requirements such as taking the exam within April or registering before April 30th, or can you take the exam at a time that is convenient for you after registering during the promotional period?
Thank you for the question. The voucher purchased with the 50% discount on the examination fee, should be redeemed (book for the exam, even if you book it in the next 1 year), no longer than 3 months from purchase.
To specifically answer your question, you can take the exam at a time that is convenient for you, as long as you do it in the first 3 months (the booking, not the exam).
Hi Loredana - few days back I saw a lot of information about UiPath CABA v1.0 but now I can not see any information on the academy website about certification. Are you still offering the Certification for Automation Business Analyst or it has been rescinded back by UiPath ?
Thank you for your message. Could you please indicate where you have seen this information? To answer your question. The UiABA Certification is up and running and ready for the candidates.
I just pass an exam yesterday and I would like to share how I prepare for this test.
Please note that, since everyone will get a difference set of questions so my strategy may not work for you (but it should give you a big picture anyways).
General Advise:
For me, this exam is harder than UiARD. Even though you have experience, but I guarantee you if you not preparing yourself properly, the change that you will pass the exam will be low.
I found around 40-50% of questions is the type of that “If you know, you know. If you don’t, you don’t” and it almost impossible to guess the current answer (if you not so lucky which I strongly recommend to not depend of that).
If you have some experience in BA role, it will help you answer some question. But don’t worry if you don’t, most of the question in the exam is not even related to what BA do in day to day basis (at least for me).
Some question is ask very detailed in UiPath platform, especially in Discovery. So, If you don’t have much of an experience in those tools (like I am), make sure to look into it before taking an exam (check learning path in the exam description book).
You should master the Automation Business Analysis Fundamentals training in Academy. I print all the PDF material document file that provided in the class and read it whatever I can (I find it easier for me to study all material this way).
There are template files, such as “Process Assessment Tool.xlsx” etc., provided in the Academy as well. I suggest to download all files and see it how it work (look into the excel formular).
Gain more knowledge in UiPath Platform, especially in all of Discovery tools, like Automation Hub, Task Capture, Task Mining, Process Mining. I personally think this is the hardest path of the exam since they asked very detailed question while you have a lot of ground of cover. If you already done the practice test, you know what I mean.
Hope this guide help you. If you have any questions, feel free to leave me the message below.
