Can we deploy Automation Cloud in a private cloud? If it can be deployed in a private cloud what required resources are required to host it and costs?
Hi @m.soto,
Most of the functionality available within Automation Cloud can be deployed into a private network via an Automation Suite deployment.
Automation Suite can be deployed onto Linux VMs or into an EKS or AKS instance.
For rough cost estimates, you can size your instances using the Automation Suite Install Sizing Calculator and then translate those requirements into an AWS/Azure pricing calculator.
Thanks
Thanks Kristopher, I am not interested in Automation Suite. I am interested in Automation Cloud and my understanding is that it is a SaaS, therefore it CANNOT be deployed but I wanted to confirm this info. Is this right?
Regarding the costs… I interested on Automation Cloud costs.
Thank you
Hi @m.soto,
You are correct in stating that Automation Cloud, which is a SaaS product, cannot be deployed into a private cloud network.
Are there any specific reasons that your organization is unable to utilize Automation Cloud?
If you are interested in access restrictions to an Enterprise licensed instance of Automation Cloud, access can be restricted by a list of specific IP addresses.
Automation Cloud meets or exceeds multiple industry certifications and attestations.
For any cost related questions, you should speak with your Account Executive for specifics.
The majority of the platform runs directly within the Automation Cloud environment. Studio Web and Automation Cloud Robots (VM or Serverless) allow an organization to build and run automations entirely inside the Automation Cloud ecosystem. It is possible to license and utilize most of the platform without having to install anything on-premise.
For more advanced automations and Task Mining, your own on-premise costs may involve running Robot machines to execute your automations (Attended Robots, Unattended Robots, Testing Robots, etc.), running Studio machines to build and maintain your automations (Automation Developers), and installing Task Mining clients on target machines.
Thanks
