Uipath.assistant.exe cannot start

with the new update of UiPath to version 2023.12.0-beta-15287 when starting UiPath.assistant.exe it gives an error saying “The entry point of the DiscardVirtualMemory procedure cannot be found in the dynamic link library C:\Program Files \UiPath\Studio\UiPatKAssistant\UiPath.Assistant.exe.”

I have the community version running on windows server 2012 R2 for testing
I have already tried to repair windows in case it was the problem by executing the commands:
sfc /scannow
dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth
dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup
but it hasn’t solved the problem.

How can I fix it and why are we required to receive beta version updates instead of stable versions. I understand that those of us who use the community version have no option to block new updates, but accepting beta versions without having expressly requested it seems inappropriate to me.

We have the same problem!

Hi, can you fixed this problem? i have the same problem after the new update with windows 8.1.

I appreciate your comments. thanks.

Hello everyone,

Unfortunately, support for Windows Server 2012 and Windows 8.1 has been discontinued. For more information, please visit this documentation page: Robot - Hardware and Software Requirements

With respect to beta builds, although they aren’t stable versions, they have undergone quality verification :heavy_check_mark:

Have a nice day!
