Study methods for Developer Associate exam, Academy materials, reference materials

Please tell me the study methods and reference materials for the Developer Associate exam.
⇒ I failed the exam with a score of 63%.
When I looked at the exam questions, I felt that there were about 20 questions that were not covered in the Developer Associate materials provided by the official academy.

This was my second attempt, but each time there seem to be new topics added, and the number of unknown questions keeps increasing.

While I was able to solve the topics that appeared in the academy materials, I feel that there are many questions that I have never seen before and are outside the learning scope.
Given my current study methods, I can’t see myself passing, so I would like to know how I can improve my study approach.

You can compare the Exam Description Document with the exam result pdf you got from Pearson Vue.

The exam results show which sections you score lowest, and then you can use this to identify points of focus from the Exam Description Document.

All should be covered in the academy materials.
Some might not be in text but in stead part of a practice, question etc.
Also use the Test Exam to test your knowledge prior to the exam.

In general, from my experience I would say the questions in the actual certification exam are bit tricky when compared with the practice test questions.

  1. Use the official Academy materials as a foundation.
  2. Read the official product documentation.
  3. Focus on understanding concepts.
  4. Practice hands-on exercises and real-world use cases.
  5. Review recent product updates and release notes, as the exam may include newer features.
  6. Keep a list of unfamiliar topics from previous attempts and study those areas in depth.

My recommendation is:

  • Complete the Automation Developer Associate learning plan, and review all the documentation referenced throughout the course.
  • Don’t rely only on the Academy videos many exam topics are covered in the official documentation.
  • Build small hands-on projects covering UI Automation, Selectors, Data Manipulation, REFramework, Excel activities, Orchestrator, Exception Handling, Brieft intro of agentic automation and Integration Service.
  • Review every option and setting you see in UiPath Studio and Orchestrator, as questions often test your understanding of these features rather than just activities.
  • Reattempt the official practice test 2–3 times and focus on the topics where you score the lowest.
  • Avoid relying on dumps or question sets. Focus on understanding the concepts and applying them in practical scenarios.
