The Provided OCR Key Is Invalid

Importing documents into Document Manager fails with "The Provided OCR Key Is Invalid" error.

Issue Description: Not able to import document for Data Labeling and throws below errors.

Root Cause: Providing an incorrect or incompatible OCR API key in the Data Labeling OCR configuration page
The most common reasons this can occur:

  1. The API key has been refreshed in the Admin portal but was not updated in the Document Manager > Settings.
  2. Mistakenly providing an incorrect OCR API key

Resolution:

  • Open the settings in the Data Labeling Session to reconfigure the OCR settings on the Settings page.
Note: For A Data Labeling session in an Enterprise Automation Suite deployment, the AI Units API key found in AS -> Admin -> Organization -> License -> Robots & Services page is only meant to be used for skills deployed in the customer's AS environment. A Document Understanding OCR Skill can be deployed in AiCenter and the skill can be made public. After the DocumentUnderstandingOCR skill has been made public, the OCR Skill's Endpoint that was generated should be used in the Data Labeling Settings for the OCR URL. The AI Units API Key from the Automation Suite Admin -> Organization -> License -> Robots & Services page should be used as the OCR API Key.

If the desire is to use UiPath Public endpoints for OCR with an Enterprise Automation Suite deployment, contact the Account Owner to discuss options for setting up a Cloud account for the sole purpose of obtaining an API key that can be used to call UiPath Public Endpoints.
