Studio with Community Edition

Hello all,

i’m a newbie in UiPath and i’d like to play with studio/orchestrator in order to understand the basic (i already see some video and read some docs).

i downloaded the community edition for for some reason after the installation of Comm Edition i always have SudioX and not studio.

I have read I have to go under settings and change the “profile” but i do not have this option… i reinstalled again and again but always StudioX.

  1. is it possible to have Studio under Community Edition?
  2. i’d like to manage “robots” configured in different computers of my colleagues from a single console… is this a feature of “orchestrator”?
  3. which version I need (CE or Pro or other) in order to create different robots (about 5 or 6) and manage all robots from a single console?

Thanks a lot

Hi @Luca09 ,

Welcome to UiPath community Forum. I wish good learning.

i think you are not able to see studio profile is due to the licensing issue i guess. if you have only Automation express assigned then it will be having only StudioX there will be no studio profile. Could you please review the below forum link it would help you to resolve your issue. thanks

Hello @kirankumar.mahanthi1

thanks a lot for quick response! yes , you are right! i’m in a “free plan”… i have to delete organization and create new one! i’ll try now!

and what about my second and third questions?

" 2. i’d like to manage “robots” configured in different computers of my colleagues from a single console… is this a feature of “orchestrator”?
3. which version I need (CE or Pro or other) in order to create different robots (about 5 or 6) and manage all robots from a single console?"

Thanks a lot!

Hi @Luca09 ,

Sorry I missed your other questions.

Yes you are understanding correct. Orchestrator is like control room to manage your bots.

The idea of yours is not possible with the community orchestrator since it is only for learning and it will allow you to connect your machine for training purposes. And UiPath assign free license for that purpose.

If you want to connect with multiple robots from orchestrator you should go for enterprise licenses. For more details on licensing about orchestrator, studio and robots please touch base with the UiPath sales or community team.

Regards,
Kirankumar.
