Studio blocked, "Detected Attended Robot..." license type problem

New Project and New from Template options are gray’d out. Best I could find in forums was “change robot in Orchestrator” Not a changeable option. Is this a setting that needs changed?
Studio 2022.4.3, license through Orchestrator

Hey @brian.greer

This is due to the license type you are using. Kindly try with RPA Developer license.

Thanks

I had a difficult time getting to the license I have. And even more difficult
getting it installed. Now this! How do I change the license type to
Developer. Is it a setting?

Thanks, V/R

Hey @brian.greer

Yep, just the configuration at the edit option of tenant user level for On-Prem or at the cloud Admin level for Cloud platform.

Thanks

@brian.greer Please check the no of licenses that your company has acquired. So that you change the robot type with enough license. To check the licenses

  • Login to Orchestrator
  • Click on Tenant
  • Go to licenses tab and there you can check your licenses

It has looked like this:

Since I got the license earlier this week.

@brian.greer

  • From the screenshot Attended license does not have access to Studio. That is why you might be getting that issue. I see that Automation Developer have access to studio
  • So please change your robot type to Automation Developer. Click on the Tenant in Orchestrator and go to the users tab and see for your user what is the robot type assigned. There you might have edit option if you are admin of the Orchestrator

Yes, I am admin. (I’m the only user in my group/license) This is what is in there:

How do I get it to change to also include Attended?

Thanks, V/R

Hi @brian.greer,

Can you open the title just below the area in this image and check if you are a member of Automation Developers?

Regards,
MY

Thanks, sorry but this image didn’t come through, are you able to send again or describe where I should look?

Thanks, V/R

On second attempt I think I was able to bring up the image separately by its web address. Here’s what that area looks like in mine:

Image shows Administrators, Automation Developers, and Automation Users.

Automation Developers shows selected: Attended-Named User, Citizen Developer-Named User, and Automation Developer-Named User

Thanks, V/R

When I go to Tenant, it shows my robot type assigned “Unattended” Other help suggestions were to change it to “Attended.” Where do I change that?

@brian.greer Check is there any edit option towards extreme right

Sorry, which place to edit? There’s one at Licenses, far right side of my license:

(Allocate to User-- [checked] Attended-Named User 1 available [checked] Automation Developer-Named User 1 available)

Still not working, any other help? Create New Project and all below it on the right side are still gray’d out

Hey @brian.greer

Did you change the license type of yours please ?

Thanks
#nK

Change it to what? How do I do that? Orchestrator seems to be running my licensing.

Thanks,

Brian Greer

Hey @brian.greer

Currently your user license has been allocated or assigned with an Attended Bot license.

The Attended Bot license can be used only for running the Attended automations but not for development purposes which locks the project files for editing.

So I request you to please open your user in the Orchestrator and assign with a development based license which is something like Automation Developer or Attended Named User which may help.

Thanks
#nK

That sounds great. Except I have no idea how to assign a development based
license. Do you know if a development based license is already available in
Orchestrator for me? Is it a setting in Orchestrator? I applied for a
license and all that was sent me was a link to Orchestrator.

I’ve dug around every single setting in Orchestrator and also everything that
Help suggested that I could find. I can’t find anything else to change. I’ve
also looked at dozens of Forum posts. Almost every one of them about “New
Project gray’d out//Attended Bot…” problem, are “not found” by the site.

Thanks,
Brian Greer

Hey @brian.greer

It’s not about setting only.

First thing is like you should have the license procured and which can be assigned after that.

Are you using cloud orchestrator?

Thanks
