State Machine transitions buggy?

I’m finding the whole point-and-click aspect of state machines buggy and hard to deal with.

For example, I create a simple state machine activity.

Why does the T1 transition automatically appear? It transitions TO ITSELF, and I can’t seem to delete or alter this. Why is this happening? I spent an hour trying to alter this behavior or delete this transition, because it is causing errors. I, as the programmer, need to control all transitions easily, and the point-and-click method is just not convenient AT ALL. Is there a way for me to control the transitions in a programmatic, not a graphical, way?

Does the transition change, if you add another state and add a transition to it?

I did as you suggested:

the answer is no, the first transition T1 is still there:

Which Studio version are you on @Terry_Marr ?

Can you check the arrow highlighted in red?

@Terry_Marr

I dont think the transition is auto created but I see a arrow at the top of state 1 which might be added by mistake…please delete it and the transiton would go…

For deleting just click on the arrow on top and hit delete

If it was added automatically then it shpuld be coming for state 2 as well which I dont think it did

Cheers
