Hi All,
This is process,

  • Building a pivot table from the excel worksheet
  • Adding slicers to the pivot table

The first one is running well except the second one. When I attempt to build a pivot table through the automation, the options to use slicers is greyed out.

Does anyone know how to fix this error or a workaround? It seems like it only works if I manually build the pivot table outside of the automation.

What about the Create Pivot Table activity? It looks like you’re trying to use UI automation to do things in Excel, but you should be using the Excel activities.

Hi Postwick,

The Create Pivot Table activity is working well but not Adding slicers to the pivot table because the options to use slicers is greyed out as showing above. And there is no “Insert slicers activity” in Excel activities.

Just create the slicer manually ahead of time. Then when you create the pivot table the slicers will update.
