Sign in not possible as UI Path uses OLD & turned off proxy address

When UI Path (community edition) open it tries to contact https://cloud.uipath.com to sign in.
My problem is that UI Path tries to use an old proxy address that no longer exists, and not the current proxy address that is live and working.
And so I am given a “The proxy tunnel address ‘https:\webproxy.net:8080’ failed with status code 407”
This is because that proxy address, which used to exist, has been replaced by our new proxy settings.

But UI Path doesn’t seem to want to use the new proxy address, and keeps using the old, dead proxy settings, that no longer exist.

Attached is an image
Image has two parts
1st part shows UI Path signing in using the OLD proxy address and the resulting error.
2nd part shows Edge proxy settings clearly showing the current proxy address (turned on) and the old manual proxy address (which is dead and so is turned off).

My question is, why does UI Path try to sign in using old, dead & turned off proxy settings, instead of the current working, turned on Proxy settings?

Is there a config file that has somehow has the old proxy settings written in?
A file that I could edit and replace the old proxy settings with the new & current proxy settings?

Please could you let me know as I can’t get past this sign-in page.
Thanks for reading thus far and I hope my question makes sense.
Looking forward to your reply.

Many thanks.

Thank you so much for sending the information through.

I followed it, especially the UiPath.Config additions.

These really helped and now my UI Path works.

Excellent
