Selectors unstable

Hello,
My client is using studio pro 2020.4.1-beta22 community licence.
The studio is running on a virtual machine.
The selectors are unstable.
Is there a possibility that it is because of the old version of the studio?

Not possible on Community license. You would require Enterprise license.

No product in UiPath echo system does partiality in performing it’s task with their respective license.

There could be chances that the target application might be not stable or got updates.

If selectors work sometimes but not all the time, it’s likely that something is changing in the app (or web page) that you have to account for in your selectors.

Also, you are using a VERY old version of Studio and should definitely upgrade.

No. As I said, depending on which properties you’ve used the property values can change inside apps or web pages. That is what makes the selector unstable. You often have to manually edit selectors because UiPath doesn’t give you what’s correct. Show us your selectors.

Studio might not effect the selector , but in latest you have more different options to it…thats the only difference

Coming to reliability…that depends on what attributes you choose from the selector …generally tag dors not change…and depending on type of control remaining reliable attributes would change…you need to select the ones which dont change often
