SAP Automation basics

Hi everyone I have to carryout POC on SAP automation. As I don’t have experience in this, I have few queries. Please clear my doubts: How to enable scripting on server side ? Only admin can do it or we can also do? Also let me know the steps. What are the the prerequisites for SAP automation other than enabling Scripting? Can we do SAP Automation on citrix environment? If yes what are the challenges?
