Is it possible to run the robot service on an unattened bot with a different user than “local system”. Couldn’t find a satisfying answer in the docs.
Thanks

hi, @ronny.roscher Yes, you can run an unattended UiPath Robot using a different Windows user by configuring the robot in Orchestrator with custom Windows credentials. The Robot service itself runs as Local System but the unattended automation executes under the specified user account for proper access and session control. This is the supported way to run unattended robots with a user other than Local System.

create a robot user account and give the credentials in orchestrator it would use that user to run
cheers
So that means only the unattended user session can use different credentials (in the configuration of the robot account) but the windows service itself has to be run as local system?
Robot Windows service must run as Local System but the unattended automation can use different Windows credentials set in Orchestrator. This setup reliably allows unattended bots to run under specific user sessions.
