RPA Project Management: User Story Creation

Hi!

I would like to explore RPA Project Management. I’m curious how to optimize Azure DevOps in developing RPA projects and how to construct user stories. I believe user stories in RPA is a bit different compared to web/mobile app dev. Currently, what I practice is like this:

Is there any way I can improve my current implementation? Or do you know any courses I could take?

Thanks for your help!

Hi

To optimize Azure DevOps for RPA project management, you can start by setting up a new project in Azure DevOps and then defining your backlog of work items. You can create user stories, tasks, bugs, and other work items in Azure DevOps to manage your RPA project.

In terms of constructing user stories for RPA projects, you can use a similar approach as you would for web/mobile app dev, but with some modifications. User stories in RPA typically focus on the steps that a robot will take to complete a task or automate a process. You can break down the task into smaller sub-tasks and define the inputs, outputs, and expected results for each sub-task.

To improve your current implementation, you can consider the following tips:

  1. Define clear and concise user stories that are focused on the end goal of the RPA project.
  2. Break down complex tasks into smaller sub-tasks to make it easier to manage and track progress.
  3. Prioritize the backlog based on business value and impact.
  4. Use automation tools to automate repetitive tasks, such as creating work items or generating reports.
  5. Foster collaboration between the RPA team and the business users to ensure that the RPA project is aligned with business needs.

As for courses, there are many online resources that you can explore. For example, Udemy has a course called “Azure DevOps Fundamentals for RPA Developers” that covers the basics of Azure DevOps and how to use it for RPA project management. Additionally, Microsoft has many resources available on their website that cover Azure DevOps and RPA. You can also explore online forums and communities to learn from other RPA professionals and get feedback on your implementation.

Hello, I just started learning UI path Automation, can anyone help with a road map of courses to take to become an RPA developer? I already finished the Automation starter course.
