Retry Scope Activity in Studio Course

Hi,

I was going through this course and in the video it says that File Exist can work in the condition field of the retry scope but when doing this in Studio you cannot add it in the condition field.

Am I able to get clarification on this as the video is misinforming people if you can’t add this.

Hi,

If we downgrade System.Activities package to 21.10.5, for example, it works well.
It might be a bug of FileExist or RetryScope in System.Activites package 22.4 or above.

Hi,

It seems compatibility matter. In Window (not Legacy) compatibility and System.Activites package 21.10.5, it works. However In Windows-Legacy and any version of Sysytem Activities package, it doesn’t work. For now can you try to create Windows profile project?

It was more really for this practice exam question, I chose ‘File Exists’ which was wrong but then your screenshot proves it is a valid activity in the retry scope and also the Retry scope video was also correct but the answer was ‘Check True’ so really both answer should be right shouldn’t it? This is why I’m confused

It seems there is contradiction regarding FileExists and RetryScope in some documents and actual implementations, as you said.
@loginerror we’d be grateful if you could give us comment about this topic.

We’ll have to investigate. It could be that something has fallen through the cracks indeed.
