Recording Menu

Hello.

Everything is fine?

I just downloaded studio from the UiPath Website for trial, “Try UiPath Free”

I am looking for the menu for ‘Recording’ as an image below

But, my studio have the ‘App/Web Recorder’ not the ‘Recording’

Is the reason version of studio?

How can I get the menu for ‘Recording’?

The update for 2023.12.0 have removed the classic switch option. The projects will be created as modern. If you required you can just use the classic activities in Activities panel–>Filter–>Enable Classic.

In modern you don’t have Recording you only find App/web recorder.Recorder is depriciated in Modern Version

When I began my work today and was struggling for codes, I surprisingly noticed that there is a new input dialogue at the bottom with a hint that says “Describe your expression in natural language”. Without hesitation, my requirement has been imported and a desired coding expression magically showed, and question solved. Thank you again for the great improvement.

When you create a project, by defualt the Project will be created in Modern Experience where you can find App/Web Recorder. Which version of Studio are you using.

Check the below image that after the 2020.10 versions you can use Modern Experience where you can find App/Web Recorder.

Do you mean the modern contains the five functions that were standard, desktop, web, image, Native Citrix and Computer Version the classic contained as well?

I just wonder if I could use the five functions as classic from the App/web recorder.

In the classic experience, those five methods are standard. Can we know which version of Studio you have downloaded.

Since the recorder function is updated in modern, I prefer to use the App/web recorder in modern.

I just ask you how I could use the five methods of the classic in modern?

I am trying to use the App/web recorder, but feel very simple only recording, not like classic’s specific five methods.

Just using the App/web recorder contains the five methods as standard?

Just watched a video to show me a menu to change to classic

‘Settings → Design → Design Style → Use modern for new project menu’

But, I cannot see the ‘Use modern for new project menu’ on the Design Style

Looks useful if possible…

Hi @patrick_MULU Classic design is Deprecated in the new update of UiPath Studio. The option to switch from Classic to Modern is grayed off. If you create a new project now, then it will be in Modern design experience by default. You can use the Classic activities in modern design experience project, but you cannot create a new classic project. There are way’s to go to the older approach that is Classic recorders but honestly I would suggest to learn the Modern design because that is the future headed.

In real-time projects companies already moved to Modern design.

Just get hold of it. Use the latest documentation for training.
