Reading .xlsx and .xls file

Hi all,

I created two files with extension .xls and with the other extension .xlsx.

And read two files using Excel Application Scope as well as through workbook.
It can able to read those 2 files with 2 options.

Can we able to read both of the files thru both of the options(Excel Applciation Scope as well as Workbook).

I didn’t get it clear. May I know the difference then please. Its So confusing.

Can Any one clear my doubt.
