Reading dates in excel return random numbers not the date

Hi, I am reading a dates in an excel file. When I try to convert the contents of the cell it into a string and assign it to a variable it returns random numbers. I have tried “row(0).ToString” & “.Convert.ToDateTimeShort” & “.Convert.ToDateTimeLong” but its still returning “44259.1982744213” not the date.

Can u check the preserve format option in read range

It will preserve the format of date
