Read Range workbook not working

Hi,

Please help me, when i try to read the excel using read range workbook. It was showing this issue. Please help.

Why do you just have “” for the range? What’s in your output property, is that variable properly defined? Show us how it’s configured.

Can you share the screenshot of Properties Panel of Read Range Workbook. Has the data table variable been given in the output.

@Salman_Faries,

Clear the Range property. No need to pass “” in there, just let it be empty.
If still don’t work, update the Excel package to the latest possible version and this should be fixed.

I removed those quotes and tried nothing worked

Did you get any error or you didn’t get any data? what was the outcome?

You don’t have the Excel file open by any chance? - an open Excel file not necessarily be visible in all cases.

Guys Guys Guys, Holdon.

Im aware that we should not open excel if running read range workbook. Also however if i put “” or just be blank in range it doesn’t matter.

Pls understand my ques, it’s reading in JSOn format however it is in datable. pls help on that,

As per this screenshot you shared, looks like your read range worked as the control is on the next activity log message.

What is it that is not working right now? Could you please share more details?

Your saying was partially correct. One excel was actually a csv format, then i converted in chrome to xlsx and downloaded it. So we can think that’s the reason.

But i tested with a normal excel input file other than that file. Still it’s taking as JSON. Is it problem with excel application or studio. I didnt get clear clarity

When you say normal excel file did you happen to create it on the machine?

Can you attach a sample here

And did you verify the count of rows for the normal file did it say 1 or more?

Also please mention version of studio you are using

Normal excel file means the sense. It was from client. Actually i ran it in client environment which was a lower UiPath version. There it considers it as datatable
